20 practice questions written for AFOQT Lab and based on FAA study materials. They are organized into 2 short sets, with immediate explanations and official reference links. No sign-up required.
Each set includes four airspace and chart questions, two weather questions, two regulation questions, and two safe-operations questions. Every explanation links to the official source used for verification.
Who these short sets are for—and how to use them
First-time Part 107 learners
Use Set 1 after an initial pass through the FAA study materials. Treat every miss or uncertain guess as a pointer to a specific rule, chart convention, or weather concept—not as a pass/fail verdict.
Learners reviewing a weak topic
Open each explanation, compare all three answer choices, and follow the official source link. Review the weak topic before moving to Set 2. Progress is not saved after a refresh.
Preview the question quality before you start
These samples come directly from the active, verified question bank used by the two practice sets. Opening an answer here does not start an attempt, affect a score, or emit practice-start or completion events.
Sample 1 · Airspace & charts
On a sectional chart, concentric solid magenta boundaries have sector ceiling and floor values printed in solid magenta. Which airspace class do those sectors depict?
A. Class B
B. Class C
C. Class D
Show answer, explanation, and source
Answer: B. Class C. Class C airspace is charted with solid magenta sector boundaries, and its ceiling and floor values are printed in hundreds of feet MSL with the last two zeros omitted.

A METAR includes the wind group 22012G20KT. How should the remote pilot read it?
A. Wind toward 220° magnetic at 12 knots, gusting to 20
B. Wind from 220° true at 12 knots, gusting to 20
C. Wind from 220° true at 20 knots, gusting to 12
Show answer, explanation, and source
Answer: B. Wind from 220° true at 12 knots, gusting to 20. In a METAR wind group, 220 is the direction the wind is blowing from in degrees true, 12 is the sustained speed in knots, and G20 is a peak gust of 20 knots.
A Category 1 small unmanned aircraft is planned to track directly above moving traffic on an open public road for several minutes. Which assessment is correct?
A. The operation is allowed solely because the aircraft is Category 1
B. The operation is allowed whenever vehicles remain below 35 mph
C. The operation cannot proceed as described; avoid sustained flight over the vehicles or meet the closed/restricted-site and notice conditions
Show answer, explanation, and source
Answer: C. The operation cannot proceed as described; avoid sustained flight over the vehicles or meet the closed/restricted-site and notice conditions. A qualifying Category 1 aircraft is not a blanket permission for sustained flight over moving traffic. The operation must avoid sustained flight over moving vehicles or occur within/over a closed or restricted-access site where vehicle occupants have notice, while also meeting the applicable category rules.

Checked against current FAA and eCFR sources. Not reviewed by a certified flight instructor.
Use the FAA and current federal regulations as the primary source for study and rule checks. These links and the current certification/testing pages were rechecked on October 6, 2026.
No. AFOQT Lab is an independent study product. These practice questions were written for AFOQT Lab and are based on FAA study materials; some use the same FAA figures and subject areas as official sample questions. FAA and eCFR sources are cited for verification and further reading.
Will this predict my exam result?
No. A short practice set cannot produce an official score, a pass prediction, or a readiness guarantee.
Is this a full Part 107 mock exam?
No. It is two focused 10-question sets designed to expose weak areas and teach from cited explanations. The current FAA testing matrix lists a longer official UAG test; use these sets as one study tool, not a simulation of the full testing session.
Do I need an account?
No. The preview flow does not require sign-up and does not save your answer progress after a refresh.
